Biomechanical Assessment
This type of appointment should be booked if you have pain in your feet, heels, ankles, knees, hips or lower back.
If you have bunions, in-toe walking, knocked knees, flat feet, high arch feet, problems with your walking, you should also book for this type of appointment to have a thorough assessment conducted.
This is a comprehensive appointment where a lot of testing will be done to figure out what is going on with your legs and feet. We will look at the way you stand, the way you walk, the way your joints and muscles move and any postural issues.
We will give you a diagnosis and explain why this is happening or why you are experiencing pain. You will get a comprehensive management plan which will help with your walking, any pain you are experiencing and to help support your feet.
Some treatments that may be recommended for you may include, but not be limited to footwear recommendation, custom orthotics, shockwave therapy, exercises and/or stretching.
Please note that before any treatment can be provided, an initial biomechanical assessment must be conducted.
You may be eligible for a rebate from medicare if you have a valid care plan (CDM/EPC) referral from your GP.
